Linda Hodgen by Store

My husband and I have 7 children - 6 married and the youngest in college. We
moved to Rexburg from Wenatchee, Washington in January of 2002 so I could
finish a college degree I began in 1968. I graduated from BYU-I in August, 2004
with a BS degree in Family and Consumer Science. I am certified to teach
Secondary Education. I have worked with Special Needs children at the high
school level as well as teaching Junior High School and at BYU-I.

I have always enjoyed scratch cooking and baking, gardening and food
preservation. While in Washington, I became certified as a Master Food Preserver
through the Washington State University Extension program and just recently
certified as a Master Gardener through the University of Idaho Extension
program. My next endeavor is to learn beekeeping.

Self-reliance has been an important part of my life. Basic food storage has been a
tremendous lifeline for our family, especially in difficult financial times. I am
always searching for better ways to utilize the most basic food storage items so
that my family can enjoy them.

I have also had the privilege of sharing the knowledge I have gained through the
years by teaching classes in my church and community.
